Crown Food Packaging develops "Salmon" new packaging

Crown Food Packaging has developed a new steel tank that is said to enable salmon producers to sell it worldwide using the same packaging. The new food cans are manufactured by the Dutch company CORUS PACKING PLS using advanced polymer-coated steel. Crown Corps pointed out that the steel cans exceed the FDA and EU food safety standards and that salmon manufacturers can use the same packaging to sell products globally.

Manufacturers also pointed out that such steel tanks can meet the needs of the salmon packaging process to provide consumers with the best possible product. Polymers used in steel tanks are chemically inactive and therefore have no effect on the taste of the product. Advanced polymer coatings provide a high degree of internal and external polishing of the packaging, allowing producers to differentiate their brands and increase retail sales.
