Production of furniture from rubber tree timber

The Indonesian company will invest US$27 million to build a furniture manufacturing plant. All of its raw materials are rubber tree timber and rubber belts, and the factory's furniture production capacity is 720 million cubic meters per year. The rubber tree timber used was obtained from the large farm abandoned by Sumatra. According to experts' opinions, rubber tree wood is an excellent material for furniture production. Bakrie will export 85% of the furniture it produces, and the remaining portion is expected to be easily sold domestically. Bakrie will also be a joint venture with Globe Corporation of the United States. Since 1994, their goods will be exported to the United States, Japan and Europe.
