Yesterday, online retailer Monoprice announced at the CES show that it is expanding its 3D printing series and will launch several new 3D printers for home and professional users. The new printers include the company's small $ 199 printer and an upgraded version of the company's first professional stereolithography (SLA) printer.
According to 3D Tiger, Monoprice is well-known for its reasonably priced and high-quality computer accessories. It is a new member of the 3D printer market and has achieved great success in this field, with a sales growth rate of 600% in 2016. The company hopes to continue this trend, and provides two models of 3D printers for initial hobby users.
The MPDeltaMini3D printer, priced at $ 149, is Monoprice ’s low-cost entry-level printer with Wi-Fi capability, which can be activated right out of the box. In the home user category, Monoprice updated its SelectMini printer to version 2.0, adding heuristic upgrades to the device.
On the commercial side, Monoprice launched the MP3 series of commercial 3D printers, priced at $ 799. Ideal for industrial and rapid commercial prototyping, the printer has a complete printer box, as well as a 400x400mm build size and the latest FDM technology. The company also uses the new MPMakerPrismProfessionalSLA printer to enter the light curing market. This $ 3,500 printer provides impressive professional-quality printing at 0.03 micron layer resolution, making it ideal for jewelry and other projects that require a high level of print accuracy.
Monoprice sticks to its roots and has also launched a new Onyx series 3.5 mm audio cable, as well as several new USB3.0 and USB-C cables. In addition to printers, the company is surpassing the home market and entering the home appliance category with new mixers, induction cookers and precision cookware.
It is reported that Monoprice will provide its new 3D printers, home appliances and other products in the first quarter of 2017.
