First of all, please have a preliminary understanding of the maintenance system of our station through the following figure.

There are 4 upload servers in our whole system. Among them, upload 1 is for uploading, and upload 2 and upload 3 are for uploading of self-run programs. Upload 4 is for uploading and recording of home channels. The net is used for the production of TV series and the compilation and editing of live programs. All the programs are transferred to the secondary storage A for backup, and all the programs in the secondary storage A are copied to the secondary storage C for backup, and the advertisements are also copied to the secondary storage B and the secondary storage D. Make a backup. When the program needs to be broadcasted, it can be migrated from the secondary broadcast A to the broadcast server. The broadcast server is divided into a broadcast primary server, a broadcast standby server, and a broadcast third standby server.

The types of programs in our station are broadly divided into five categories: advertising, TV dramas, self-run programs, home economic programs, and gasket promotional videos. Next, I will introduce the storage mechanism of these five program types in our traditional maintenance system.

(1) Advertising: The advertisement is divided into two parts. The advertisement of the 1-4 channel is uploaded by the advertising department and stored permanently in the uploading 1 and secondary storage A, B, C and D; the other channel advertisements are uploaded by the own channel. Stored in upload 2 or upload 3 and secondary storage A, B, C, and D. All ads need to be manually deleted if they need to be cleaned up.

(2) TV series: According to the broadcast layout stored in the downsizing network and the secondary storage A and C, the backups in the secondary storage A and C are automatically cleaned according to the deletion policy, and the backup in the reduced network needs to be manually cleaned.

(3) Self-running program: stored in upload 2 or upload 3 and secondary storage A and C according to the broadcast schedule, and automatically cleaned according to the deletion policy.

(4) Home economic program: stored in upload 4 and secondary storage A and C, wherein the backup in upload 4 is automatically cleaned according to the deletion policy, and the backup in secondary storage A and C is retained for a long time. delete.

(5) Gasket promo: Stored in upload 2 or upload 3 and secondary storage A and C for a long time. If you need to clean it, you need to delete it manually.

In addition to the backup system, advertisements and tile trailers are also stored in the broadcast server for a long time. Among them, the 1-4 channel advertisements in the advertisement type are large, so the storage server also has a large storage pressure.

Through the above introduction, it is not difficult to find that various types of programs have multiple backup storage problems, resulting in low storage space utilization and cumbersome backup strategies. The storage space is insufficient, especially in secondary storage A and C. And because all the materials moved to the broadcast server are secondary storage A as a migration source, resulting in low migration bandwidth utilization and insufficient migration tasks (all migration tasks to the broadcast server and to secondary storage) The tasks of B and C are secondary storage A as a copy source, so the bandwidth of the secondary storage A and the number of parallel tasks become the bottleneck). In order to solve these problems, we re-planned the backup mechanism of the whole system and optimized the migration policy service.

As shown in the figure, the migration policy service includes four categories: copy policy, delete copy policy, delete material policy, and automatic technical review strategy. Among them, there are a copy policy and a delete copy policy related to the optimization of the whole system (the following two figures are the case of copying the policy after the optimization is completed and deleting the copy policy).

Next, I will introduce the specific implementation steps of this system optimization:

1. Clear advertisements and tile trailers that will not be broadcasted in a short period of time from the broadcast server, reducing the storage pressure on the broadcast server. In the "delete copy strategy", add the "Delete unused shim promo" and "Delete 1/2/3/4 channel playout server temporarily unused creatives" two strategies, the following picture is the newly added "Delete" The strategy of not using the shim" policy needs to be configured accordingly (the configuration is described in detail here, and the similar configuration will not be described later): the program type is selected as the shim trailer, that is, the deleted program type is limited to the pad. Movies; all the broadcast servers are selected in the source storage option, that is, the tile trailers in all the broadcast servers can be deleted; the deletion range is set to 3 days, that is, the last time the program list is broadcasted. After the day and the new program list is not added to the material, the material is deleted from the broadcast server; all channels are selected by the channel, that is, the tile trailers belonging to all channels can be deleted.

2. The advertisement has up to five backups in the whole system. The TV drama takes up huge storage space and has backup in the downsizing network. Therefore, it is decided that the advertisement and TV drama are no longer stored in the secondary storage C, and the storage pressure of the secondary storage C is alleviated. . First add "temporary deletion of secondary C advertising TV drama" in the "delete copy strategy" to clear all the commercial TV dramas stored in secondary storage C; then in the "copy strategy" to "secondary A to secondary The C" policy is modified to cancel the TV show and all advertisements in the program type option so that the advertisements and TV shows are no longer copied to the secondary storage C, as shown in the following figure.

3. There are two sources of home economic programs: uploading via upload 4 and migrating from the downsizing network (direct copy to secondary storage A). In order to reduce the storage pressure of the secondary storage A, the upload 4 is set as the main storage of the home economic program, the secondary storage C is still the standby storage, and the home economic program is only in the secondary storage A for automatic technical review, no longer Long-term retention. To achieve this goal, the migration strategy service has been modified as follows:

(1) Add "Secondary A to UP4" in the "Copy Strategy", and transfer the home economic program migrated from the downsizing network to the main secondary storage UP4 of the home economic program.
