Among the 20 batches of samples monitored, the standard brands such as “Baby Good†and other 6 batches of baby carriage fabrics exceeded formaldehyde standards.
Formaldehyde is irritant. A small amount of formaldehyde can cause irritation to human eyes, skin and mucous membranes. It can cause skin allergic reactions. Excessive formaldehyde can cause severe inflammation of the mucous membranes and respiratory tract, as well as dermatitis.
A total of 20 batches of stroller products were collected in this monitoring, which were from physical stores and online shops. After inspection, the formaldehyde content in the six batches of samples exceeded the standard and did not meet the standard requirements. Unqualified samples are mainly from online shops. The nominal brands include baby, baobao, Sanle, flykids, Xingbaole, and Jinming.
The quality supervision department advises consumers to pay attention to the following matters when purchasing foods for baby carriages: Select products produced by regular manufacturers; newly purchased baby carriages should be placed in ventilated areas for a period of time to remove residual odors. If possible, the baby carriage textiles should be removed for cleaning. After use; in the use of the process, try to prevent the baby from biting and tearing textile fabrics.
