Quick change of printing plate refers to the rapid change of printing plate after finishing one order in the case of the same size plate cylinder and different printing plates. Generally for a limited number of plate cylinders, thin sleeve (1mm) can be used together with Inflatable roller core structure. During the printing of the previous order, the printing plate of the next order has been pasted on the sleeve outside the line. When changing, the time required for each color plate is only two or three minutes. This new technology for rapid plate change is particularly convenient for fixed-size and change-pattern prints (blow packs, beer labels).
The rapid change of impression cylinder technology is to increase the printing range of the flexo printer, which can not only draw film, but also print paper and thick cardboard. In the past, replacing a set of impression cylinders was quite time-consuming. With the quick change technology, it was possible to remove an impression cylinder with only a few screws removed. It took only half an hour to replace a complete set of impression cylinders.
For quick change of die-cutting tools, it is said that Chromas has adopted an in-line laser die-cutting technology, which allows the data input in advance to be recalled and executed to complete the replacement work. At present, the technology has been successfully applied to the processing of self-adhesive labels.
Third, no shaft drive and servo drive technology For the unit type flexo press, perhaps everyone is familiar with a long, segmented main drive shaft behind the machine. As the number of printing units increases or the width increases, the main drive shaft will inevitably generate large distortion due to the increased load, which will seriously affect the accuracy of multi-color overprinting.
With the rapid development of motor and control technology, shaftless transmission and servo drive have become possible. Independent printing units are driven by separate motors to ensure that the relative position of the plate cylinders of each unit is accurate and that the tension of the entire machine is stable. This improves the overlay accuracy of multi-color printing and avoids the phenomenon of "ink bars" caused by vibration. In addition, the range of printing paper for each machine will be further expanded, from film to thick cardboard. The servo drive technology can also extend the application range of flexographic printers, such as repeat printing length, the first unit can print the required 450mm repeat length of the first 450mm, and the second unit can print the remaining 450mm.
Fourth, PLC control and remote diagnosis service system The convenient man-machine interface, the menu type instruction, makes the control more quickly and efficiently. Once the machine fails, the system promptly displays an error message, instructs the operator or maintenance personnel to find the fault point as soon as possible, and can eliminate the fault at the fastest speed and reduce the downtime. For serious failures, operators can also use remote diagnostic services to consult with machine manufacturers and provide them with timely services.
V. Other Technologies In addition to the above new technologies, there are many other new technologies that are used on different flexo presses. They are: sleeve technology (fast and easy replacement, simple operation), anilox rollers and laser-engraved seamless rubber rollers commonly used sleeve technology; inline digital printing technology (digital printing technology applied on flexo presses, can For dot printing, single-color text patterns can also be printed; in-line film (including cold film, hot film, UV film), in-line cold stamping, ink jet, etc. A more efficient drying system is also used on satellite type flexographic printing machines to improve the effect of drying between colors and final drying, and an automatic washing system is used to save manpower.
