Among them, paper production was 19.039 million tons, an increase of 3.5% year-on-year, and board production was 12.789 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%.



In addition, from a single species, it also showed a good growth.



Newsprint was mainly driven by the increase in advertising, the election of representatives, the Sydney Olympics, and other market demand growth.



The growth of printing paper was mainly driven by the increase in demand for promotional advertisements, catalogues, and manuals for IT industry machinery products, among which the growth of coating paper was the most obvious, reaching 7.9%.



In terms of paperboard, the demand for cartonboard has increased year after year. The growth rate in 2000 was as high as 5%, and the output reached the highest record.



From the perspective of the social production environment, computer and IT related products bear the brunt of it, followed by electrical machinery, medicine, cosmetics, express delivery, hot summer season beverages and other food processing, fruit packaging and other demand, and the rest of the various industries have almost all production It was restored and there was positive growth. These have directly or indirectly promoted the growth of paper demand.



Japan's paper and paperboard production has maintained continuous and stable growth for 13 months since it achieved positive growth in November 1999. By December 2000, the market was firm, and production and sales records are constantly being refreshed.
