Heidelberg will exhibit its solutions for network printing companies in Hall 8 and hopes that the new Prinect module AxisControl can cause a stir. AxisControl is a color measurement system based on spectrophotometry that is fully integrated into the CP2000 press control center.

It can measure the color control strip on the printed material by spectrophotometry, analyze it, and calculate the on-line color control parameters. This not only ensures that sheet-fed paper can achieve color balance faster, but also ensures continuous control throughout the entire operation of the job.
All Speedmaster series products have AxisControl installed, especially for Speedmaster SM52, SM/CD74 and SM74DI models. In order to meet the high-end application market, Heidelberg will also exhibit the Prinect module ImageControl. The color measurement system can measure the entire printed image area, obtain color reference values ​​from a digital prepress machine, and then generate color measurement data to create an ICC profile.

A new Controller Area Network technology called Canopen will also be on display. It represents a set of global standardized data bus systems that support the integration of all Speedmaster Star peripheral control functions into a central CP2000 press control center.
A further advantage for the customer is the remote service device. The bus system can support all peripheral devices. Heidelberg is currently the only manufacturer to use this technology in its range of products.

In the previous Ipex exhibition, this time involved environmental issues for the first time. Heidelberg will establish an Environmental Information Centre to focus on the importance of environmental issues.
