Using emulsifying and dispersing means, natural plant essential oils such as garlic essential oil, clove essential oil, cinnamon essential oil and other essential oils are dispersed in an aqueous solution using carboxymethyl cellulose sodium, chitosan and other substances as carriers, and a stable and high-performance coating film is formed to keep fresh The materials have been widely used in fruits, vegetables, aquatic products, and poultry eggs, providing a convenient, safe, and environmentally friendly fresh-keeping technology method for the storage, transportation, and sales of the above foods.

2. Test basis

The testing methods for the oxygen permeability of diaphragm materials are mainly divided into two types: differential pressure method and isobaric method. In view of the special nature of the plant essential oil coating material, this test uses the isobaric method (coulometric method) to test the sample. The standard used is GB / T 19789-2005 "Coulometer Test Method for Oxidative Permeability Test of Plastic Films and Sheets of Packaging Materials".

4. Test equipment

4.1 Test principle

The isobaric method refers to a method in which the gas pressure on both sides of the sample is always consistent during the test. One side of the sample is filled with carrier gas high purity nitrogen, and the other side is the test gas high purity oxygen. Under the action, oxygen will penetrate into the high-purity nitrogen side through the sample and be carried by the nitrogen to the Coulomb sensor for testing and analysis, so as to obtain the relevant parameters such as oxygen permeability of the sample.

4.3 Scope of application

Sheets include various engineering plastics, rubber and other sheets, such as PP sheets, PVC sheets, PVDC sheets, etc.

Containers include bottles, bags, cans, boxes, barrels made of plastic, rubber, paper, paper-plastic composite, glass, metal and other materials, such as coke bottles, peanut oil barrels, Tetra Pak packaging, jelly cups, yogurt cups, metal Three-piece can, toothpaste tube, cosmetic plastic packaging, etc.

5. Test process

(1) After testing the thickness of the sample, place it in a dry environment and adjust for 48 h.

(2) Cut 3 samples from the sample surface with a dedicated sampler.

(3) Apply a layer of vacuum grease to the periphery of the test chamber of the equipment, place the samples on the test benches of the three test chambers of the device, eliminate air bubbles between the sample and the bench top of the cavity, fix the ventilated chamber cover to ensure the test The cavity is well sealed.

(4) Set the test parameter information such as sample name, sample thickness, test temperature, test humidity, test mode, etc., click the test option to start the test.

(5) After the test is completed, the equipment displays the test results of three samples.

(6) Purge the pipeline with dry high-purity gas and turn off the equipment.

6. Test results

The oxygen transmission rates of the three samples tested in this paper at 23 ℃ and 0% RH are 2331.172 cm3 / (m2 · 24h), 2058.993 cm3 / (m2 · 24h), 2172.308 cm3 / (m2 · 24h), taking the average of the three samples as the oxygen transmission rate of the sample is 2187.491 cm3 / (m2 · 24h).

The better oxygen permeability can ensure that the natural plant essential oil coating material achieves a better preservation effect on the basis of antiseptic and sterilization.
